Vietnam War... Imagination starts to draw symbols of that war - flying choppers over rice paddies, tired grunts and fiery napalm cloud above jungle. This war had overturned and changed consciousness of whole generation. It became one of the largest military and historical events of second half of 20th century. After the Vietnam War, the world was not the same anymore.
For Vietnam this war was only the next stage of a long war for independence with France and incessant civil war. The small country became an arena for antagonism of two world political systems. It was officially known as the "Second Indo-China war". It lasted near twenty years from 1957 to 1975. Operations had touched territories of Southern and Northern Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Besides USA and Vietnam, there are many countries, directly or indirectly involved in the war such as Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, China, USSR and Northern Korea.
Vietnam War was represented for all world to see by "The Eyes of Hollywood". It was a one sided depiction. Every war like a medal has two sides, two truth and two sights...
