Winter march on Moscow, 1612
When Moscow was liberated from the Polish invaders in autumn 1611, the King Sigizmund gathered another army to return the conquered territories and influence. But the nobility didn't support the affair, and only 5 thousands men went to Russia. This march infamously ended by the siege of Volokolamsk and retreat to Poland.
I used Drabant figures in 40mm scale. The base is sculpted from Milliput, the snow is shaped with the use of construction foam and finished with baking soda. Paited with Citadel acrylics.
